This seminar focussed upon ‘trans’ as a cross-media phenomenon involving traditional and new media from film and television to web-based media, photography and performance art. It aimed to extend the question of ‘technologies of the body’ (as set out in the first seminar) to consider the intersection of medical and popular cultures.
