Retheorising Gender and Sexuality: The Emergence of ‘Trans’ (2012-2014) was an ESRC-sponsored seminar series, based at the University of Warwick and running from 2012 to 2014.
This site continues to be updated with resources and information.
The series brought together practitioners, patient groups, educators, researchers, community groups and activists over the course of four events, in order to promote a cross-disciplinary exploration of gender and sexuality in the wake of emergent ‘trans’ discourses.
One of our key aims has been to open up the content of our events to a wider audience, with filmed talks, bibliographies and live-streaming.
Information and resources from our first seminar, Trans Genealogies, can be found here.
Information and resources from our second seminar, Trans As Everyday Culture, can be found here.
Information and resources from our third seminar, Trans In Popular Representation, can be found here.
Information and resources from our fourth and final event, After Kinsey, can be found here.
We are also on Facebook.
